The agreement between you and MXcatch.
Last updated August 29, 2026.
By creating an account or pointing a domain's MX records at MXcatch you accept these terms. MXcatch is operated from the Netherlands by Sander Boersma. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
MXcatch receives email addressed to domains you control and carries out the actions you configure: forwarding, archiving, posting to a chat webhook, or POSTing to an endpoint of yours. It also provides a webmail inbox for reading what it received.
MXcatch is inbound only. It does not send mail on your behalf, other than relaying messages you have configured to be forwarded and sending you account notifications.
You may only add domains you own or are authorised to administer. Pointing MX records at us is treated as proof of that authorisation, and mail is accepted only once both records resolve.
If someone else demonstrates a better claim to a domain on your account, we may remove it.
Do not use MXcatch to:
We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious we will contact you first.
Each plan carries limits on domains, aliases, attachment size, messages per day and retention, as published on the pricing page. Messages past the daily limit are rejected at SMTP time, which means the sender receives a bounce rather than the mail being silently dropped.
Stored mail is deleted when it passes your plan's retention window. MXcatch is not a backup service. If you need mail kept for longer, configure an archive action or forward it somewhere durable.
The free plan is free, with no card required. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are in euros and exclude any VAT that applies to you.
You can cancel at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the paid period and does not renew. We do not refund partial months, other than where the law requires it. If a payment fails we will retry and let you know before downgrading the account.
If we change prices, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email.
We aim for high availability and run two MX hosts so that one machine failing does not stop mail from being accepted. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and the service is provided on an as-is basis.
Planned maintenance is scheduled to avoid disruption where possible. Because SMTP senders retry a failed delivery for hours or days, a short outage does not normally lose mail — but we cannot guarantee that no message is ever lost.
Your mail is yours. We process it to carry out your instructions and to show it to you, and for nothing else — we do not scan it for advertising, sell it, or use it to train models. Handling is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
You can export or delete your data at any time, and deleting your account removes it.
To the extent permitted by law, MXcatch is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business, or the consequences of a message that was delayed, lost, or delivered to the wrong place. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Email is not a guaranteed transport. Do not rely on MXcatch as the sole channel for anything safety-critical or legally time-sensitive.
You may close your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will normally give notice and a chance to fix it first.
On termination, stored mail is deleted. Export anything you need first — repoint your MX records before closing the account so that inbound mail is not rejected in the meantime.
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced to account holders by email at least 30 days ahead. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Dutch law applies, and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer protection you have where you live.
